Director Global Operation: Chris Barnicle
Chris is currently working with two technology start-up companies as head
of Business Development; USourceIT in Los Angeles and The Hahn Group in New
York City. Prior to this position, Chris has worked with both large and
small companies and managed to stay involved with both the local and global
community through his time as a Big Brother in New York City, Board of
Directors in New York City Street Projects, and over two years spent in
Guatemala as a volunteer with the United States Peace Corps.
Prior to his focus on startup companies, Chris worked as Director of
Corporate Development for BMC Group, a global technology and service
companyfocused on providing solutions for the legal and financial communities.
There, he was instrumental in growing a business line from $0 to over $25
million in annual revenue in 2009 dedicated to revolutionizing the way
large public corporations conduct due diligence for major transactions.
Chris has always had a passion for public service, and after working for
five years in the private sector in Los Angeles, he applied for and was
accepted in August of 2002, as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer in the
Small Business Development Program. Chris' assignment was Guatemala, and
while in Guatemala he worked with several NGOs, the Christian Children's
Fund, and Nutzij. Some of his accomplishments beyond achieving both
written and spoken fluency in Spanish were installing the first high-speed
Internet Satellite system in the city of Solola, Training over 200 youth
about technology, the Internet, and how it can benefit themselves and their
community.
Chris Barnicle received both his Bachelor of Science in Philosophy, and a
Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon
University.
